It takes a lot of research to find out how gay and woman friendly each destination we choose is for our travelers. The feeling of safety and government support & acceptance is a huge priority for us. There are actually websites that have put together this information to help our research such as EQUALDEX.COM. Unfortunately, there are still many places throughout the world, including here in the United States that are not welcoming to the kind of diversity that Resté represents. Also, we hope to find destinations that are also equally aligned with the goals of our travelers. Of course, we have many different people with many ideas of the their dream destinations, but we also have certain specific criteria we look for as the founders of Resté Getaway For Women.

 

Aside from REACH, being on or near bodies of water, preferably in warmer climates is most attractive to us, though for some experiences we may need to venture to colder regions. (Aurora Borealis?). We also try to avoid staying in larger populated cities, as it is our goal to connect with the natural beauty of various regions, but we also want to be near major airports for easy travel access, which will generally give us the opportunity to explore a nearby city at some point while we also get in touch with nature

We like to keep in mind that everyone has different travel budgets and that our home state of California, our country of the United States and our neighbor Mexico are not only more easily accessible for many, but offer absolutely beautiful places to visit and explore.
